X Factor Auditions London Excel

X Factor hopefuls went bananas on 6th of April 2013 – as close to 8,000 queued in a bid to be the next singing star.

Auditionees arrived from 5am to secure a spot in front of producers at London’s ExCeL.

Host Dermot O’Leary said he is as enthusiastic as ever about the show – now in its 10th series – and reckons it is down to the new people he meets each year.

He said: “It’s like the third round of the FA cup or the first game of the season. You’ve got a real sense of excitement.

“You meet people in all walks of life. There’s nothing as queer as folk and you never know who you’re going to meet.”
